This page includes all guidelines, terms, policies, disclaimers, and code of conduct regarding the services that Jupiter Soul by Jessica Maia offers. Please read them carefully.

These guidelines were created for transparency between Jessica Maia and all customers, clients, and users of this website. It is encouraged for customers to take full responsibility for their purchasing decisions by reading these Service Guidelines. Please read all guidelines before making a purchase and thus agreeing to all guidelines. For shop policies, visit here.

By engaging with this website and purchasing a service, you are agreeing to accept all parts of these Service Guidelines, its shared agreements, and disclaimers. You are legally agreeing that you have read, understood, and fully consent to the terms below. You must be 18+ years old to have the legal ability to agree to these terms.

If you disagree with any of the terms stated below, please discontinue use of this website immediately as you may not access its contents, products, and services. Pricing & Gift Certificates

Rate: All offerings are $60 per hour. All offerings are 1 hour minimum for new clients.

The value of an offering is an investment of Jessica’s time and focused energy to prepare before each session, the session itself, and the years of study and practice behind it. There must be an exchange of currency. Sliding scale and payment plans are available by request. If you are unfamiliar with how the sliding scale structure works or want to learn more, please check out this infographic or this article.

Jessica currently only accepts appointments by inquiry. Please email JessicaMaiaArt@gmail.com to start. An invoice will be sent to you once a time is appointed for your session. Jessica may be open to trades within reason. If you would like to offer a service or product in exchange for her products and services, please contact her directly with what you are interested in, and what you want to exchange.

Gift certificates are available by request and do not expire. The gift certificate is digital only and cannot be a physical card. A printable/digital gift certificate designed by Jessica Maia can be requested and sent to you to send to your recipient. Please contact Jessica directly if you are interested in purchasing a gift certificate.

Booking & Sessions

Each session will be conducted live by video call (unless local) and timed once settled in for the reading to begin. Photos, recordings, and any added notes of sessions can be shared with you after each reading via Google Drive and stored for 30 days. It is the client’s responsibility to download their files within before their file will be removed after 30 days.

An alternative option of text readings by email are also available by request and apply to the same cost stated below. Guided notes following video sessions for clients to reference and work with are available for an additional additional sliding scale cost of $30.

Cancellations & Refunds

The cost of offerings includes the cost of time spent to prepare for each session. Payment is required at the time a booking is made before the appointed session, whether paying in full, sliding scale, or by payment plan.

If you need to cancel, you must give a 24+ hour notice before your appointed session. Text/email readings must be cancelled before being confirmed to proceed forward. There are no refunds on any deposits or payments unless cancelled with at least 24 hours notice or after email/text confirmations.

Rescheduling should be done with at least 24 hours notice to avoid any complications. If you show up more than 15 minutes late to an appointment, it will be considered a no-show and a missed appointment. This can be rescheduled once, but not refunded. No payments already received by Jessica Maia will be refunded if late or absent to a reading without at least 24 hours notice.

All sales are final. Refunds are not provided for anyone who gives less than 24 hour notice for cancellations, rescheduling, missed appointments, completed readings, or in the event you are not satisfied with your reading for any reason.

Please purchase mindfully and read all the Service Guidelines. If you disagree, please reach out before making any decisions, and Jessica can go over any concerns you have together. If a client ever has any questions regarding contents from a reading, or needs further clarity, they are encouraged to reach out. Follow ups and feedback are always welcome and encouraged!

Principles of Practice

Jessica Maia & Jupiter Soul are committed to the following principles:

1 To be inclusive and respectful of each client’s background, history, experiences, individuality, autonomy, worldviews, values, morals, beliefs, and wisdom.

2 To communicate and be transparent about Jessica’s personal/professional values, morals, beliefs, worldviews, and philosophies, which are not representative of every client’s views.

3 To provide a supportive foundation of integrity, kindness, respect, compassion, empathy, non-judgment, is trauma informed, and embracing differences; to create a safe and secure container that can hold each individual, and give the tools needed to help everyone feel understood, heard, seen, and known.

4 To create a dialogue with each client that stimulates creativity, curiosity, open-mindedness, and critical thinking.

5 By acknowledging the limitations of Jessica’s expertise, and that her intention is never to save, rescue, convince, fix, or take personal responsibility for anyone, she aims to help clients understand the impact of collaboration through thinking creatively and critically for themselves, and finding their own answers and empowerment.

6 To respect the privacy and confidentiality of everyone, and never invade the privacy of others without consent.

7 To never make anyone feel disempowered, such as with using predictive techniques and prescriptive language.

8 To rectify the stigma that is commonly associated with mysticism by affirming the validity of its potential, practicality, and historical use.

9 To demystify these subjects for all to feel welcome, comfortable, safe, and valued — no matter their identity, background, beliefs, and what makes up the constellation of who they are.

10 To use these Principles of Practice as a form of transparency on how Jessica uses these tools related to her own standards, values, morals, ethics, philosophies, and boundaries.

Shared Agreements

By scheduling and purchasing a reading with Jessica Maia & Jupiter Soul, you are doing it at your own discretion and agree that you understand these following terms:

Personal Consent & Responsibility. Jessica encourages everyone to take personal responsibility and have the support systems they need in place if and before they are going to engage in spiritual services. In any reading, there is always chance that difficult subjects may come up, such as triggers, fears, trauma, or anything that you personally regard as negative. Jessica will always do her best to be sensitive and transparent about the nature of certain subjects, and it is why parameters are put in place. By purchasing a reading with Jessica, you declare consent to discuss any perceived positive or negative subjects and understand you are entitled to decline discussion at any time.

Ending a Session. As a shared agreement, both the client and Jessica Maia reserve the right to end a session at any point, for any reason. If at any point, you feel uncomfortable, you are entitled to let Jessica know and/or leave the session. If Jessica is ever made uncomfortable by a client, she reserves the right to let the client know and/or end the session. If you don't wish to continue your session, you may end it whenever you want to. However, Jessica is not obliged to finish the session or issue a refund.

Jessica Maia is not responsible or liable for any of the contents discussed in your session, or any outcomes outside of your session, including any direct/indirect action/inaction taken by you or others. All information, guidance, and advice given by Jessica Maia is not intended to be determinative, fortune telling, or guarantee future outcomes. There is no guarantee that purchasing a reading with Jessica Maia will yield positive or intended results. Jessica is not responsible for if a client is dissatisfied with the outcome of their session.

Confidentiality. All readings with Jessica Maia are strictly confidential and adhere to this website’s Privacy Policy.

If you ever feel that the code of conduct stated throughout the Service Guidelines, Shared Agreements, Principles of Practice, and Privacy Policy were breached, you can request a full refund. A refund will only be issued within 30 days of agreement between both parties.

Privacy

By engaging with this website, you are consenting to these terms and understand the Privacy Policy.

This privacy policy was created in order for you to understand how your personal information will be managed, collected, and used. Personal information will be collected by lawful and fair means, and where appropriate, with the knowledge and consent of the individual concerned.

You retain all rights to your personal information pertaining to how it is being used, access to the information held about you, requesting the correction of inaccurate personal information, and requesting to delete your data, or to stop processing/collecting it.

Through this website, personal data is collected via cookies, newsletter form, and contents discussed with Jessica Maia. All personal information shared via this website and direct contact with Jessica Maia & Jupiter Soul is completely confidential and will never be shared with anyone or any additional parties. Private information will never be shared without consent.

Please note that Jessica Maia reserves the right and may record, track, or save the information you provide, protected through professional record-keeping and non-commercial use. Your information is never traded or sold to additional parties. Jessica Maia may periodically use the information you have provided to contact you about news or updates you have expressed interest in.

Please be advised that Jessica Maia uses third party websites to operate Jupiter Soul that all have their own privacy policies that are separate from this website. Payment methods used are Square, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. Shipping services are used via Pirate Ship. Google Drive is used for collecting data via booking form and contents saved from each session. Email subscriptions are via MailChimp. Birth data shared for astrology readings is inputted into private, non-commercial astrology software programs. This is selected based on the needs of each client, however, the main program used by Jessica is Luna Astrology Software.

By agreeing to the Service Guidelines, you are aware and consent to the Privacy Policies of the third party websites that are used. Jessica will adhere to this privacy policy, but all users are subject to terms agreed upon each website. If you have any questions or requests about this, please contact Jessica directly.

JessicaMaia.com is hosted by Squarespace and uses its standard security measures. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is guaranteed to be fully secure. Jessica Maia cannot promise that your use of this website will be completely safe. It is encouraged to use caution on the Internet. Who is this for?

Those who are seeking more clarity and insight to their life concerns. This is for anyone who wants to gain a better understanding and wants to have support and resources.
Those who are willing to trust their intuition/feelings in unison with their mind/logic. For anyone who is yearning for a deeper connection with their intuitive knowing.
Those who are dedicated and motivated to consistently show up for themselves outside the container of a session, and do the work needed to get the outcomes they want.
Those who can hold themselves in times of discomfort, and have an internal/external support system they can lean on outside the container of a session (if needed).
Those who have personal responsibility, self compassion, and are able to think critically and creatively. This is for anyone who is openminded and respectful of complex subjects and conversations.
Those who understand that a reading is an exchange, a collaborative effort; that surrender, patience, self awareness, and personal investment are essential to the quality of a reading and its outcome.
Those who can release their expectations and are willing to surrender the control of certain outcomes.
Those who have previously had unpleasant experiences with a spiritual consultation elsewhere in the past and are looking to rectify it.
Those who are beginners, have a limited understanding, healthy skeptics, or who have never had any sort of spiritual consultation and are openminded and curious to learn from an ethical, pragmatic, and approachable perspective.

Who this is not for?

Those who want to be told what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. This is not for anyone who sets rigid expectations, such as expecting a magical answer to all their problems, trying to rigidly control outcomes, or disagreeing because they dislike what they hear.
Those who are not ready to look at themselves deeply, unwilling to get uncomfortable and face hard truths, and unwilling take personal responsibility to do the necessary work on the behalf of their own progress and results.
Those who should actually instead be seeking a therapy session, or other psychological, medical, financial, and legal support.
Those who are trying to use a reading for someone else in their lives and invade the privacy of others.
Those who will be closedminded, disrespectful, and unreceptive to the subjects of tarot, astrology, mythology, psychology, mysticism, occultism, and/or superstition. This is not for anyone who wants to use a reading as a prank, wants the reading to be measured scientifically, or wants to use a reading to test, challenge, or manipulate the reader.
Those who are concerned that these practices and subjects may go against their beliefs and values, and thinks that they are morally wrong. This is not for anyone who will feel uncomfortable and like they are betraying their beliefs, inner truth, and intuition. This is not for anyone who will try to prove, condemn, preach, or solicit the reader because they disagree.

These expectations are meant to be guidelines to the seekers and the curious, not to deter anyone.
